WEB DESIGN is the skill of creating presentations of content (usually hypertext or hypermedia) that is delivered to an end-user through the World Wide Web, by way of a Web browser or other Web-enabled software like Internet television clients, microblogging clients and RSS readers.

The intent of web design is to create a web site—a collection of electronic files that reside on a web server/servers and present content and interactive features/interfaces to the end user in form of Web pages once requested. Such elements as text, bit-mapped images (GIFs, JPEGs), forms can be placed on the page using HTML/XHTML/XML tags. Displaying more complex media (vector graphics, animations, videos, sounds) requires plug-ins such as Flash, QuickTime, Java run-time environment, etc. Plug-ins are also embedded into web page by using HTML/XHTML tags.


Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Typically, the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.



So, what about ROCREH WEB DESIGN???

ROCREH was considered as one of those competitive institution here in Capiz when it comes to computer skills. It is now at the peak considering that snaiROCREH(called for students of ROCREH) was highly educated and with an advanced skills in this field of knowledge. ROCREH Web Design is a SEO contest for all IT snaiROCREH.

This contest for IT WEEK challenges each snaiROCREH to prove their "excellence" when it comes to computer skills and at the same time, will deliberately increase their techniques and knowledge in Web Designing, create their own, and optimize search engines. This SEO challenge contest which started last January 19, 2010 and that will end on the First day of the IT WEEK (ComSci Day) was sponsored by Affordable Web , which provide assistance to small to medium businesses to build a great presence on the web, making them achieve their goals and reach a certain financial freedom they want.

Each student ought to know the mechanics and follow the rules of this contest. Those IT snaiROCREH who was able to create their own Web Design WITH ACCORDANCE TO THE RULES of the contest, passed their entries and was approved by the IT Departments and committees, and able to make it the 'top rank' in Google search result will have a great chance to win great great prizes.(Take Note: GREAT GREAT PRIZES!!!)


Below are the RULES and MECHANICS of the contest.


1.Start date is 19th January 2010.

2.End date of the contest is 1st day of the IT Week (Comsci Day) at 11:00 AM.

3.On the blogger's blog (blogger.com, vox.com, i.ph or other - if they don't have one, they
should create a new one),by simply creating an article about the key phrase or just about
anything, but the blogger should optimize it so that it becomes the top Google search result
for the contest key phrase. (ROCREH WEB DESIGN).

4.The blog/s DOMAIN used for the entries should not contain any part of the key phrase.

5.The blog (post and articles) should not contain any name of the school.

6.Entries should be registered by leaving a comment containing the name or the name of
group participants and the URL entry of the participants. Unregistered entries will not be
included on the official list of valid entries and are not qualified to get any of the prizes.

7.The entries should have a visible link back to cash price sponsor in anywhere on the post
entry.

8.They should use the code of claremontdesign.com for the valid link code to be embedded
on their entry
posts.
